biography

CRAIG T. RAISNER received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Toledo. He has a degree in Theatre Production and also majored in Childhood Developmental Psychology minoring in Architecture, Film and Electronic Music. While studying at American University in Washington, D.C. he had the opportunity to work at the Kennedy Centre For the Performing Arts where he accompanied the Musical Theatre Workshop. He also attended Boston University School For the Arts and has taken courses at Carnegie-Mellon University. He has taught at both Elementary and Secondary schools including the world reknown Interlochen Arts Academy. He has served as adjunct faculty at both the University of Toledo, Ohio and Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.

A graduate of the famed Second City where, he has also accompanied shows on piano and keyboards, Craig is an accomplished Improv Actor and "Stand-Up Stylist" (comedy, songs and hair). Having grown up in regional "Legit" Theatre and Musical Theatre (since age eight) Craig is equally at home with the classics, e.g. Shakespeare (A Winter's Tale, Julius Ceasar, Twelfth Night, A Midsummers Night Dream), Chekov (Cherry Orchard, Uncle Vanya) and Moliere (Le Maladie Imaginaire, The Prodigious Snob), et al. as he is with Williams (Cat On A Hot Tin Roof, Orpheus Descending, The Rose Tattoo), Miller (The Last Yankee, Death of A Salesman), Mamet (Glengarry Glen Ross), Simon (The Odd Couple, California Suite, The Good Doctor, Chapter Two) and their contemporaries. He has perfomed (actor / singer / dancer) in many musicals including Grease!, The Sound of Music, Forty-Second Street, 1776, Peter Pan and has done many cabaret and musical reviews.

Craig actually made his television debut as a Junior News Anchor many years ago with his first dramatic role shortly thereafter on PBS. His first appearance in Hollywood was on Days of Our Lives with his first co-star on My Wife and Kids. He has originated roles in a number of film and television projects and has been a Series Regular on two shows. He has experiencing Hosting and is currently in development of another project which he will host. In film, he most recently appeared in the critically acclaimed, internationally award winning short Le Petomane: Parti Avec du Vent which has had massive viral distribution both domestically and abroad. For his work in the short The Story of Adam and Eve he won "Best Comic Actor in a Foreign Film" at the International Flm Festival in Milan, Italy.
